Do a search on “spotting scope” and you will find many threads on that subject....in the Equipment Discussion section.

Re: 50 yard spotting scope
I've been real happy with this scope from Champion's Choice...the CC542. Works great for spotting .22 holes at 50 yards and you want the angled piece for using from your gun box.

I spent some time previously looking for the ng 20x33 spotting scope and never did find one in the States. I think they have to be imported?

When I shot IHMSA I had a great spotter!
Unfortunately, she went to work for DILLON as a model!

"Three sold in 24 hours"
I love mine. Seller is great, too, it arrived very quickly from Hull QC when I bought mine a year or two ago.

Re: 50 yard spotting scope
As an update, I received mine yesterday from Canada. Very fast shipping, packed well, etc. I got it out before the sun went down and was kind of underwhelmed with it but that was just my first impression looking across the yard.
I took it out today to the range and did some comparisons with my cheap Champion's Choice CC542 scope. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with the NG. It's fine at 25 yards but I didn't find it to be very good with .22 holes at 50 yards. The objective is obviously small and it needs a lot of light to work well at 50 yards. Cloudy or low light conditions made for tough viewing (especially when looking for .22 holes in the black of the target). When I switched back to the CC542, those issues went away in the same conditions. I'm not comparing it to high end scopes...that wouldn't be fair. But it's not better for me than the CC542, which is 1/2 the cost. I will continue using the CC542.
I hope it works better for you than my experience. Mine will be moving on.

I got a Vortex Razor 11-33x50 and its pretty awesome. As much cash as we spend on pistols it shouldn't be a big deal to drop $650 on a scope that is guaranteed for life.

Re: 50 yard spotting scope
No doubt Zane. I've got Zeiss, Swaro, Kowa and Vortex spotters that are world class. My spotter for BE is cheap but works great and fits in my pistol box. Variable power is nice because it allows you to adjust for the conditions. The NG is fixed 20x33.

I compared a eight or more scopes on Champion's Choice's outdoor scope rack at Camp Perry. For me, the Vortex Razor 11-33 was the clearest on an overcast day. I bought one and with it can always see .22 holes at 50 yards. That is during daylight/normal shooting hours...
