Changing 1911 springs?
Changing 1911 springs?
Right now I load 3.8 grains of Shooters World Clean Shot under a Brazo's 200 grain SWC.
My pistol seems to cycle just fine to me with the stock springs in my Springfield Range Officer. Brass kicks out just a touch weaker than factory 230 grain FMJ ammo. Am I just fortunate to not have to change springs? Or is there something I should look for?

No it should be good to go if you like how and where the brass lands. Most people make the mistake of going to low of a recoil spring and it hammers the frame.

You don't say what recoil spring you're using now. A lot of people use a spring in the 10-12 pound range. If you go lighter make sure you place a buffer behind it on the guide rod.

Irons or dot. If irons on a rack tight RO I'm not surprised it functions.

Running irons. I think it's a 16# spring? Everything is bone stock on my gun.
