Colt Gold Cup NM
Colt Gold Cup NM
Hi All,
Up for sale is a new, minus 15 rounds shot, 1911 45 ACP Colt Gold Cup NM. It's a beautiful gun. The reason for selling it is because I should of went with a 9mm for shooting plates. Paid $1399.00 and will sell for $1200.00.

I have decided to take this off the market for now. I know I would end up with sellers remorse if it did sell. lol

Re: Colt Gold Cup NM
Well I think it lifts up to much in recoil. Had a friend load up some rounds. 230gr. blue bullets, 3.1 grs. of Bullseye and CCI primers.
Just started shooting some steel plates and kinda like it. And don't know what I am doing yet. lol Rethinking, I should of went with a 9mm.
Another friend wants to buy my GCNM. I was also thinking I could put it on an auction and make a few dollars. To me it's a beautiful looking gun. Decisions, decisions.

Do you need 230 grain bullets? You will get less recoil with a lighter bullet. The 9mm may be better, but unless you buy something like a Sig P210 you will be hard pressed to find a gun as accurate as your Gold Cup. The Sig will be a tad more money than your Gold Cup, but not much and they are very, very accurate. I have a German made P210 and love it. The new Sig USA P210's are getting excellent reviews. Should you decide to sell your Gold Cup I might be interested if your other options go under. Good luck, but try to find a Sig P210 to look at before you do anything.
