Not out of these yet but I believe they have been discontinued. If anyone has a supply gathering dust in the back of your reloading shelf and you don't anticipate ever using them, I would love to take them off your hands.

The Speer website says these bullets are currently unavailable not discontinued.  Have you confirmed they are discontinued?

Midway shows them discontinued but that could just mean they don't plan on carrying them anymore. Still would buy someone's unwanted supply if such a thing exists.

Keep checking the Speer website for availability they were available a few months ago and I bought a thousand.  Although they did sell out quickly.

First Remington, now Speer?  Hope Magnus stays the course. I have had good performance from them.

My guess would be that they haven't been available as component bullets for 20+ years and everyone's sort of forgot about them.

Joel (if it's you),
I have a bag of 228 Speer #4618 HBWC (with fine knurling like Hornady) but they are measuring only .355" diameter by .620" long.
I also have a vintage box of 100 #4617 (they are similar to old Remington's with 3 deep flat knurled grooves) at .358" diameter by .668" long.
Let me know if you want them & I'll bring them to our next match against NW.

I was shooting Magnus 148 hbwc this last weekend. They shoot well. The pistol I was shooting holds 1.5” with them. I’ve used them in many 38’s and they do shoot mighty fine.

Looks exactly as Zero bullet to me. Maybe Terry is buying in bulk from Rose Dist. and putting Magnus label on them? (Just my personal opinion).
Zero would be my third choice right after old dirty Remingtons. So far, #1 is the new style (rolled up lead sheet then swagged) clean smooth clear lube coated Remingtons.

Anything swaged from Magnus is actually manufactured by zero. At least that's my understanding. Anything cast is made in house. I've not bought from them, but everyone always says what a great guy Terry is!

Compared to remingtons, I always suffered leading from the .357 PD bullets.
Shot well, but, had to clean revolver more often.
