S&W Model 52-1 Extractor
Can anyone point me in the right direction to try to source some spare extractors for my Model 52-1. I understand that is the one real issue with this gun.

Do you have a photo with some dimensions to identify it. I have some 52 parts.

Re: S&W Model 52-1 Extractor
Greetings,
Numrich sometimes has the parts...
M52 Extractor
CAUTION, the M52 extractor "looks" like a M39 and M59 extractor; but, dimensionally different.
They have different part numbers.
One "might" be able to hand work a M39 extractor to function in a M52.
The M39 and M59 extractor are exactly the same.
Cheers,
Dave

Bob;
As long as you ALWAYS load the chamber from a magazine and NEVER just drop a round into the chamber, the early extractors will last forever. Very few shooters out there have ever experienced broken extractors in the model 52.
My two cents worth and you don't even have to pay me;

I'm with Mike. My wife has a -1 and is very careful to always load it from the mag. Never had an issue and the thing feeds everything
I have a spare extractor I acquired years ago for parts. Insures I'll never have to use it..
They do show up on Ebay on occasion..heck there is a -1 slide and barrel on there now.. pricey though
