Hmm, I've never seen or heard about any conversion kit for M52. It kinda looks just like M39 slide and barrel, especially since the sights are not adjustable and it's only 4".

I have seen the 9mm conversion, which had an actual 52-2 slide and a 9mm barrel, they have to use the 39 mag. This is as mentioned a 39 upper. I have never cared for the finish on the Higher A series pistols, and the 3 letter prefix models. They used a different bluing method uppers always looked more purple than blue. Needless to say this is also Import marked, which I never care for on anything I would collect, unless it had some special providence.

Have any idea if it functions reliably with the 9mm?

Thank you

One way to find out...

For a gun in Germany it makes some sense to have a conversion to 9mm. Many Euro countries limit the number of guns any one person can own. While I wouldn’t do this conversion, I do have a Taurus PT100 for which I have a 9mm Upper. It actually spends more time as a 9mm than a 40.

Appreciate your replies.

I just sold my 52-2. Trigger pull  and orientation was uncomfortable with my crippled hands.

Got this book today and 1/4 the way thru it waiting for truck to be repaired. It's a good read. He got interested in machine tools ( Lathes ) from a fellow shooter who helped him on the range one day to shoot a pistol and then brought him to his house to share about reloading that night.

Shooters helping shooters. Never know where it'll lead.

Good stuff.
