Hammer Trailside
I have no financial interest or attachment in any way to this firearm or the seller. I simply came across it while browsing and thought it would be worth mentioning here. Not a bad gun for someone needing a 22.

This would be a case of buy once, cry once, at that opening price. Never handled less shot a Trailside XEesse. Equal to a Smith PC? Maybe. The Larrys Guns work might be the tipping point.

He also has a very nice Steyr LP 1 Match, nicely priced. no sales tax or shipping but I already have one, I doubt I could shoot the match version any better than the Evo 10.

You can purchase a true Hammerli Xesse (newer version of the Trailside) for less.

Maybe but this already has the scope mount, and Larry’s trigger kit installed. It’s a little on the high side of price, I’ll admit. But it’s ready to go pretty much. Again no interest here, but I thought I’d send it out in case someone is in need of a gun. This one keeps someone from having to hunt down parts and installs.

Without the rail and trigger parts. Maybe a bit high but not awful by any means.Webjak wrote:You can purchase a true Hammerli Xesse (newer version of the Trailside) for less.

No argument on my part, looks like a nice pistol, just noting the new Hammerli version was available for under $800 recently, add a $150 grip and a rail. The new (Walther/Hammerli) barrel design is possibly better. I have both so time will tell.

I've had two trailsides both shot well enough to make master and one was the 4"bbl version. They are light guns and I like heavy ones so I keep the one I still have for new jr shooters to try.

Perfect. My wife likes them just for that reason, still nice and light with a 2" rearward extended rail for a red dot.

In 2005 James Henderson shot a Larry Carter Custom Hammerli Trailside and set a new Camp Perry .22 aggregate record. The score was 897-60X.
