Having used H&G molds for 40 yrs, I'm not familiar with the #78 Mold.

It’s a 210 grain SWC with two lube grooves. Kinda like Lyman 452460.

I believe this is the mould that Babe Magnan used in his .S&W 45 revolver. He shot 2650 with three revolvers !

I dug out my H&G Catalog and sure enough it's listed as a Two Groove 215 gr bullet.  Yes Dave, the bullet nose looks just like that of the H&G S242 bullet.  I have that S242 in both 160 gr and 185 gr.  Many yrs ago Dr. Young was doing some extensive testing with those molds and so I called Wayne and had him  send me a couple; I haven't really used them since then.  Looking at the shelf holding all my bullet molds, I see that I still have a couple unused H&G 4-cavity molds.  I think I'll take some pix of them and post them here "For Sale."
