This is a real long shot .....M41 frame
I have what amounts to 1.5 SW M41s.
2 barrels. One is a SW OEM and the other a Clark STC but I only have 1 frame/"lower".
Am looking for another frame, no barrel needed but if the your barrel is shot out or damaged, not a problem as long as the frame is in working order.
The OEM barrel is my EIC pistol.
The Clark is my BE 2700 pistol.
The constant switching out of barrels for practices and matches gives me the heebie-jeebies on maintaining zeros back and forth.
The barrel lock up (trigger guard) is firm, tight and snaps right in.
In lieu of trying to find another frame, can someone allay my fears that the switching back and forth on the single frame is not having a deleterious impact on zeros and wearing out the lock up?

If you want another frame, then by all means get one. However, I have had experience with changing barrels on 41's for many years. The sights are on the barrel or the scope is mounted to the barrel. Now all the barrels (5 inch field, 5 inch heavy, 5 inch extended sight rib, 7 inch long, Clark STCs, etc.) I have used lock up tight and I have never seen any zero changes with swapping barrels on a Model 41.
Now with open sights on some ranges the groups can move a little depending on the person and preferred sight picture; but that is mostly lighting, etc. for me and is also apparent when shooting EIC 1911's and .22's. So sometimes its just the lighting (basically the angle of the sun, front sight glare or intensity). Some people seem to be more affected by that than others (probably a factor of eyesight / focus / accommodation).

I have three model 41s, the OEM barrel for each, two Clark barrels STC 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 for one, a single STC 6 1/2 for the second and a 5 1/2 STC and BOP for the third. I have not experienced any zero changing from remounting a barrel.
