S&W 41 Heavy Trigger
Having issues with trigger on S&W 41, sometimes it will become very heavy. When you take up the slack and hit the wall, it used to break with about 2# of pressure. Now it will act up and when you hit the wall it feels like it is dragging, have to apply a lot of pressure to get the hammer to fall.
Has anyone had a similar problem before or any idea what it could be??
Thanks
Greg

Greetings,
Check to see if the trigger stop screw is adjusted out too far.

Hello BE Shooter,
When was the last time you "really" cleaned and properly lubricated the entire trigger mechanism? We're talking clean down to the metal; getting out old lacquered oil, unburned powder, etcetera?

Re: S&W 41 Heavy Trigger
I was thinking of having a local smith clean it with an ultrasonic cleaner or something similar. I took the grips off several weeks ago, cleaned and lubricated it and it seemed better but returned. Maybe it needs a better cleaning.

Do you have aftermarket grips on it?
Check to see that the right grip panel isn't contacting the magazine disconnector.
