SOLD Jon Eulette built 1911 for sale

This pistol started life as a new Range Officer.  It became a lower for a Nelson for a while.  I bought the  Clark extended sight slide from here several years ago with the intent of mounting it on the RO lower.  Didn't take long to realize I was way over my head with this project.
I sent the parts to Jon to see what he could do. He worked his magic, fitting the slide, a new KKM barrel and bushing, and link with all the expert fitting that entails. Went through the ignition system.  Checkered the front strap. Put a beautiful, blued finish on the frame and slide. It is gorgeous, tight and accurate, and a joy to shoot. I have less than 1000 rounds through it. I'm out of the BE game, focusing on archery.  A person needs to enjoy and shoot this gun, rather than it sitting in my safe.  More pics on request.

It's a beauty built by a pistol smith with a stellar reputation for building shooters. Back in the day (70s & 80s) 1911s with Frog Gigs were a common sight, I had one on my Colt, now a rare sight, unsure when I last saw one at a match. They may soon be back in vogue, seems almost everting makes a comeback, glad I kept my lime green and powder blue leisure suits.

I didn't realize that referring to a Bo-Mar Extended Rib as a "Frog Gig" was a regional characterization. On the other hand, it may be a Geezer moniker, unfamiliar to younger demographic shooters.

We here in Missouri call them thar sights "pig stickers".  LOL!!!!

If I didn't already have a gun on order I'd snatch it up! Love those sights and what little work I've had Jon do was quite nice.

I fit the barrel of this pistol to the slide lugs. The Bomar mini-rib tuner has been cut back so it makes no contact with the barrel hood. Done right!
Slide was fit to the receiver. Gun locks up super tight. KKM 16 twist barrel. 
I make an optic mount that fits on top of the mini-rib (see pic).
Slide was from a Clark built 45 and the Colt barrel was sloppy loose.
Complete build on RO lower.
Irons or optics this gun hammers! Too bad it’s not Kommiefornia legal, I know where it would find a home.

You won't regret it. Jon's guns wear very, very slowly. It may be the single best feature of his builds that get overlooked.

Kurt, the pistol is fantastic. Broke the ice and took it out for a first date the other evening at the range. Flawless except for my hold… I have a lot of work to do.
