Nice early NM Colt! Keithville pistols tend to be pretty good.

Well the GC has a non-standard width trigger so they probably had no reason to swap it out.

Some of those early GCs shot extremely well from the factory.  I have one.
I would bet that Jim Sr gun is a hammer.
Most folks replace the trigger on GCs nowadays because they're available.  Back then, the wide GC steel trigger was pretty OK as-is anyway.
I would bet Clark put a new bushing on the barrel, maybe a new barrel fit a bit better on the back, trigger job, you can see the Tiger Tooth stippling, and maybe some minor tightening and polishing and smoothing.  Drilling and tapping for the scope mount on the front 2 screws is a bit dicey. The front one is in some thin slide metal and the next one back is at the front lug in the slide.

If that is a Clark Sr. that is a great price, I have seen them go for more on Gun Joker in much worse condition.
