Re: Old bullseye gun
Greetings,
They look like Herrett stocks.
Remove the grips and it may have Herrett stamped on the inside.
Cheers,
Dave

Dave,
That’s what I thought too. The checkering just has that Herrett’s look to it.
I pulled the stocks off and the only thing inside is a red ink stamp 1124H if memory serves. They appear to be cut for a right hand but not so much that my left paw can’t use them.

OK memory doesn't serve so well. Double checked the inside of the grip panels and it is red ink stamped 11211. Model number?
Off to research.

I don't know how long they have been on the gun. Pistol was pretty dirty when I got it. Ring of goo around stocks. Thanks for the tip Bear.

Neat, do you know who did the work on the gun and how does it shoot.

Re: Old bullseye gun
I do not know who did the work. It shoots somewhat like the old Navy match grade B shot. It has had more than it’s share of rounds through it, but is still tight and smooth. The front sight is loose in it moorings so I will have to see about trying to re -sewage it. It feeds hardball without fault of course but I haven’t yet tried any was loads. It seems a nice gun from someone who knew how to build ‘em. I just don’t have a clue yet who that was. The gent that owned it is passed on the target butts in the sky.
