Turning Target System - For Indoor, outdoor, motor, pneumatic or linear actuator use.

I have a DIY kit for sale on this forum but I've received a lot of feedback to make it more simple and pre-wire it. More details here: https://github.com/100-5x/Bullseye-Target-System
It includes my circuit board (works with Tom's Bullseye Match App) to run the system, the motor, mounting bracket, stepper motor driver, drive rod, coupler and battery cradle. All wiring is complete and tested.
My latest build can also support up to 10 remote turners (all wirelessly). No setup needed. There is now a switch on the board for "standalone vs worker"
What is NOT included:
- A dewalt battery & charger (found here), figured a lot of you had this already
- 1x6 ~ 18" long to mount to (just for ease of shipping)
Simply plug in a battery, and the system will power up and run.
PM me if interested. Thanks!

Another user took it and made their own...similar design!

Now we're talking. Or getting a lot closer to it. I have a long list of science projects already, so I've been watching interested but am not interested in another DIY kit
How much does it weigh? I suspect I could sweet talk a guy at the range, but ... will it hold in a typical clamp style target holder on a pulley? It would be unfortunate to have to get a cease fire at a range that doesn't normally do those to recover my electronics by the backstop.

3.4# with a dewalt battery installed. I'm using a board with 50% aluminum and 50% wood.
Range USA clamps have two pins in them that I measured out and drilled to. that keeps this completely locked in place.

My first version just used a cable going over the clamp. Worked just as well, but I wanted a cleaner look.

If interested, I can either send you the dewalt battery dock, or you can use something like this: CCTV Power Pack ~$30 on Amazon and I'll send you a female pigtail wired in (Found here)

I can attest this system works great!
I use it at an outdoor range without any problems. Although i only use it at 25 yards, the WiFi signal works from over 100 yards. I put all the components in an electric box, and can use it with the target hanging down or straight up. It is small, reliable, affordable, and most importantly a lot of fun! Using the Bullseye Match app, practice is just like a real match!
Thanks smdial!

We (Aurora Sportsmen's Club, Waterman, IL) are looking to adapt our outdoor turning target system to be able to be controlled by the Bullseye App available from the Riverside Gun Club. Rather than reinvent the wheel, I'm wondering if we could take part of your system and have it control ours. Our turning targets are operated with a push/pull pneumatic ram that is controlled by a pair of 12V solenoids (normally open for face, 12V close for edge). What we'd be interested in is the WiFi interface to the Bullseye App, and having your controller open/close a relay passing 12V to the solenoids. Possible? Easy? Note: we'd put this in the central range control hut and power it from commercial 120V through an appropriate power brick.

Yes, very easy in fact. The circuit board will handle the wifi commands from the bullseye app and will activate a relay module of your choosing to set NO / NC (see this: https://www.amazon.com/HiLetgo-Channel-Module-Isolation-Support/dp/B00LW2H5GC/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1A9DYL783MOLW&keywords=5v+relay+module&qid=1683076603&sprefix=5v+relay+module%2Caps%2C119&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFWMVFaSEwzTjBMSlMmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA4MjUyMDIySEQ2Nk5UMUEwOVEyJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAzODg4MDQxMzVJOFBTOTRIREhMJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==)

Ok, thanks! I'll talk with a few of the "powers that be" and see how we want to proceed.
Thanks!
Thanks!

My newest build allows a TTS to work in both standalone mode or as a worker/slave node if you shoot with your friends. Currently tested up to 10 running at the same time. Simple flip of a switch on the board.
The same board can also activate an external relay to operate a pneumatic or electric cylinder, making it ideal to run outdoor ranges in conjunction with Tom's Bullseye app. Same board, same connectivity options.
