Checking to see if any AW93 owners have an aluminum locking block they don't use and would sell.  The locking block is the blue aluminum piece below the barrel that aids in recoil control.  The aluminum version was available seperately so I am checking here first before contacting the known importers and waiting 12 months.  PM me with details.

Thanks

WTB: AW93 aluminum locking block Empty QUESTION

Post by jshank Sat Oct 29, 2022 10:20 am

Hi.  I have a AW93 built in 2019 which had a silver color “locking device C1” as described in the AW93 operator’s manual.  How does the blue assembly “locking device C2” for the AW93 Light different from locking device C1 which I have? Thanks

Fwiw…the C1 “locking block” damper is nickel plated hardened steel and depending on the model year, is not able to accommodate adding weights. The Blue Aluminum lightweight damper is lighter than the standard damper but allows you add weights to adjust to your liking. YMMV

The standard damper weighs about 175g.

The light damper weighs 85g, and one or more 40g weights can be stacked below it. It is somewhat thicker than the standard, and gets downright chunky with two weights attached.

The screws holding the light damper's weights like to back out and drop on the ground. Their socketcap heads, along with the lockwashers, are sized just-so in order to fit into little recesses so they can stack. Guess how I realized this. I did find them all Smile

Good information. I just shot my AW-93 for the first time Thursday. Looking for all the information I can get on them.

So far, in a grand total of 85 rounds, I like the gun...............
