2023 Georgia State Precision Pistol Championship Results
Hello,
First- thanks to all of our competitors for coming out and shooting with us this weekend. We had a great contingent from the All Guard this year, and of course, the Blackshirts (AMU) brought a coterie of experienced shooters as well. We also had a fine civilian turnout, some local, some not so local. It was a great mix of people and I believe everyone had a good time. We shot the entire program, and at least one leg per EIC match should be awarded by the CMP.
Normally, I would have posted the match results earlier, but both David and I were worn out after the close of the match yesterday, so we are a little behind on some paperwork. I'm attaching pictures of the results instead of a PDF. Sorry for the delay.
We'd like to congratulate Jason Gregoire as the match winner of both the short course and 2700 aggregate match. His scores:
Short course: 2614-134X
2700 Aggregate: 2617-125X

The Short Course Results:

The 2700 Aggregate Results:

River Bend Gun Club's final 2700 match of the season is next month, October 15th. Please consider coming out and shooting with us!
Also, please consider shooting the South Carolina Regional or Florida State matches, also in October. We steal our ideas on how to improve our matches from Ted & Sue, and Tom D. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't attend one of these last big matches of the year!
Again, thanks to all for coming out and shooting with us. We hope you had a great time, and look forward to seeing all of you on the line sometime soon.
Best,
Chase

Thank you very much for offering such a great match! David, Chase, the ROs and the other volunteers did a fantastic job of keeping the match rolling along smoothly. And I am not aware of a better outdoor facility in the country. I look forward to shooting with you all next year.

Re: 2023 Georgia State Precision Pistol Championship Results
Hello All,
Well, it turns out there has been a bit of a kerfuffle with our match results and announced winners and places at the match. As you can imagine, when you only have two folks running/deciding items for the match, one of whom is fresh off of back surgery, and the other running on small amounts of sleep over the course of four days, an error or two (maybe even three) is bound to be made.
We certainly would not attempt to take away anyone's accomplishment by not recognizing them appropriately, and we certainly like to think we are among friends when we host our tournament, and our hope is that our friends would understand we do in fact make honest mistakes, and never with some nefarious intention. Like all mistakes, it's how you handle them afterwards that says something about character, which I am publicly rectifying now.
The results from the match are as follows:
1st Place Jason Gregiore, Match Winner and GA State Champion
2nd Place Joshua Kingery, Runner Up and 1st High Master
3rd Place Mark Prince, 3rd Place and 1st Expert (not an Expert for much longer with the CMP and these scores!)
1st Master Mate Standard
2nd Master Seth Innes
3rd Master Nestor Pena
1st Expert Mark Prince
2nd Expert Chris Liming
3rd Expert Ben Valdez
1st Sharpshooter Russ Gill
1st Marksman Kenny Robison
22 Only Viesturs Lenss
As a result of our oversight at the match, we paid some people more than we should have, and others not enough or at all. If you received money at the match- keep it. We consider our screw up a dummy tax, and wouldn't ever dream of retracting anyone's winnings. If we owe you some money, and we do a few people, please be on the look out for a check headed your way, with our sincere apologies for our screw up.
Trophies will follow along at a later date.
Again, David and I apologize for the screw up. We believe these corrective actions should remedy the issues that bubbled up.
Please note that the PDFs are attached to the first message if you would like to review the scores.
So, that's it. Again, thanks to everyone who came out and shot with us at the state match this year!
Best,
Chase
