An aquaintance from NY has been in search of a smith in the upstate NY area and has become interested in this fella.

Thoughts via the board or PM would be most welcomed.

I have a Smith mod 14 that John rebarreled and added the common crane lock.  I just wanted a match barrel with polished forcing cone because I was spending too much time fiddling with trying  to reduce leading in the factory barrel.  Not that all the sizing, cylinder throat reaming, slugging, matching velocity to lead hardness......and such recommendations are NOT useful but man with that custom barrel on I could shoot anything without leading.  A lapped, match barrel is truly a thing of beauty.  Yes, he does fine work at least within my limited experience with him.
