Miserable 50yd results

Most of my pistol shooting is done at indoor ranges. I have been improving in general, and have been challenging myself to continually improve. I started shooting at B-11 targets just to "make it harder."
I've been able to shoot outside a couple times so far this spring, at true 50yd/25yd targets.

My results have been less than encouraging.

Like, so bad I didn't take any pictures.

I was told that 50 foot shooting develops a person's ability to HOLD, and 50yd shooting emphasizes TRIGGER control.

Anyone concur with that idea?

Any 5 trigger pulls vary by about 2oz. This is mostly due to how the trigger pivots in the pistol.

I do not have any photos of my 50yd results. I was minute of paper plate...

I have been concentrating on 25yd results since then. I figure "Why shoot 50yds before scoring 90 plus at 25yds..."

Good point! You should get the Marine Corps. training manual, It's been linked a few time in the forum. Simply put start shooting at blank paper.
