Just a friendly reminder as many of us are heading to Perry or are currently at Canton. Check your equipment. In my case I just realized I shot the Service 900 at Cardinal with a loose rear sight. Check your scope rings, check your rear/front sights, make sure no pins or screws are loose.

Ouch. I once had a MatchDot lose it's internal mirror in the 45 match at Canton - but at least that's instantly noticeable.

Funny you should mention that!

i shot a match last weekend. Started out with a 95 slow fire target and noticed on the last couple of targets of the match that the groups were opening up a bit. It was hot out, and I figured I was just getting a bit tired.

The next day I got the pistol out and the rail had loosened up on the slide, and the scope had loosened up on the rail. Something I regularly check, but neglected to do so.

It really was not too bad all things considered, I was able to keep most of the short line on the repair center. Not the best case scenario but I still enjoyed that match.

This is a great reminder! Not a lot of people think to check this before shooting an event where a lot of money and time is invested (lodging, gas, food, time off from work, etc) thank you! ☺

Thanks for the reminder! Making the trek to Atterbury in a week and between travel, fees and lodging it costs about as mutch as the rest of my year's shooting
