Pardini SP, not new Empty Pardini SP, not new

A friend has an old model Pardini SP. It does not have any weights in the front. I'm curious about this one as the grip does not have the adjustable shelf. Also, it was imported by MCS, Inc., Brookfield, CT. Is this gun before Nygord began importing them?

MCS is Master Class Sports (they appear to be still around), run by Mo Defina.  He started out importing Padini's first pistol, the PGP-75 free pistol.  When Pardini branched out into semi-autos, Mo imported those for a while.  I'm not sure when Nygord got involved.
