Shout out to Aimpoint

I took a chance and bought an Aimpoint Comp red dot for a very nice price at auction. This is an old model, maybe 20 years old. When it arrived, I tried it with a couple different new batteries, dot didn't come on. Reading up I found a couple discussions from 10 years ago saying it's probably a tiny contact or connection inside.  Officially Aimpoint states a they give a 10 year warranty, and a minimum charge $99 for out of warranty service. I sent it in anyway. It came back fixed exactly 7 days after the date I mailed it, and it was a free warranty repair. And they threw in a new battery.

Impressive customer service.

Ditto, Aimpoint repaired my 9000sc and had it back in a week.

I wore out 3 Aimpoint 2000 models back in the day.  After the last one went bad, they sent me a just on the market 3000.  It is still running to this day.  It has been on a Bianchi Cup revolver and still keeps them in the X ring at 50 yards.  Great product.

I had an Aimpoint 1000 way back when. No issues, but the tube diameter was quite small. Have had many other models since then, never with an issue.
