208-compatible magazine tubes Empty 208-compatible magazine tubes

None of my OEM 208 magazines are drop-free, however those that I purchased from Red Feather do drop freely (or spring outward). Any idea what kind of magazine tubes they are? 

The original mags are marked with a "5" and an "8" in circles. The Red Feather mags do not have any obvious markings.

The Red Feather mag tubes are repros commissioned by Larry Carter back when, unless RF is having someone different make them.

I've had the opposite results as you. My 8 OEM mags drop free in all 3 of my 208s, and my 2 or 3 Larry's mags don't, plus the OAL inside the mags isn't quite long enough to fit CCI Std Velocity ammo. I had to squeeze the sides in a vice fixture to reform the body so the front to back length was a bit longer. Now they work fine.
