38 WCHB Lube
Hi All,
I want to play with bullet lube on my 38 loads to reduce leading in my M52 and K38. I would like to use Zero bullets. Is it OK to just take them out of the box and lube them with Alox, or do you need to remove the lube from Zero? Are there any other lubes that people could recommend for 38's?
Best,
Joe

I bought a bottle of Rooster Jacket liquid bullet lube, and have applied it to Zero 185 gr LSWCHP 45 bullets. The Zero lube is sticky and covers the whole bullet. I didn't remove the Zero lube. After applying the Rooster lube, they are no longer sticky.
You might give it a try on 38 bullets.

I won’t use anything else and hope this will always be available. Use the hardness of choice. Talk to them about your application.

Need to Remove Zero Lube
Thanks for the suggestions....
Is it important to remove the Zero lube? Or can I just add one of these lubes on the bullets right out of the box?
Best,
Joe

I use white label's. 45-45-10. I normally wash the bullets in mineral spirits prior, then tumble lube them in the 45-45-10. Never had any leading with it.

I leave any original lube; it can’t hurt.
I put a handful in a plastic bag, squirt a little of your choice of goop on top, twist it shut with a lot of air inside and shake ‘em up.
Spread them out on a sheet of wax paper and let them dry.
Good luck
