Has anyone ever shot a Mauser 1911-22??? Are they just junk, or are a fair shooter with a Alu. frame.

Is this the same one that's a Colt branded Umarex? If so, it's alright. I didn't get super accuracy out of the one I shot (black size group at 25 yards), but I think a lot of that was due to the poor trigger and GI sights.
I know this wasn't asked but if you're looking for a budget .22 pistol that doubles as a service pistol trainer, the .22 conversion for the Beretta 92 is incredible. Even with the stock sights I was able to get a rapid fire group of 100-8x. I'm sure it's X-ring accurate at 25 and 10-ring accurate at 50 from the hand; I wonder how accurate it would be out of a rest.

If it’s the Umarex Colt/GSG/Sig 1911-22, it should be easy to identify by the screws and pins near the slide stop pin.
It’s not a target pistol. The barrel fixing system is not nearly stable enough.
If you like a 1911 grip and grip angle and budget is a factor, get a Buckmark with a full size grip or a Ruger 22/45 (the Mark IVs are very nice) and some parts to improve the trigger (Gearbox sear and a trigger shoe for the BM, VQ trigger kit for the R).

The Mauser and SIG branded pistols are GSG’s and are plinkers at best. I have not fooled with the Colt/Umarex pistols but they probably fall into the same category.
I spent a lot of time and effort trying to improve the GSG with marginal results. When my eyes demanded red dots, I had to finally give up. There is no way to easily put an optic on the GSG.

Typically 1911 style 22lr, Needs work to be useful and not that accurate. Better off with a Ruger 22/45, Conversion kit or a Buckmark. They have a trigger block that would make doing a trigger job way harder.
