Walther SSP advice Empty Walther SSP advice

Post by CrankyThunder 8/22/2015, 6:32 pm

Good Morning:

At the cabela's yesterday, they had a Walther SSP for sale at a attractive price.  Being a Friday afternoon and they were mobbed, the guy in the gun library did not know if they had any magazines for it or anything about it.

I did some searching and could not find much information on it.

Wondering if anybody has any experience with these guns?

Are the magazines available?

With a top loading magazine, has anybody attached a red dot to these?

I thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Cranky

Champions Choice Sells this pistol. They offer a scope base and I believe magazines as well.

I shot a FAS 602 for several years. It's a similar set up. Top loading and forward mounted dot sight. It worked well.

Walther SSP advice Empty SSP

My wife currently shoots the SSP. It was originally my pistol, but is extremely light, and despite adding weights to it, I couldn't get used to it. My wife loves it. It is extremely accurate and reliable. We found it does not like CCI SV but shoots Wolf Match very well. The pistol is just "different" . The recoil dampening system works very well, and the trigger although very adjustable, simply does not compare to my Pardini Bullseye. She uses the Matchdot with Champions Choice mount. I suggested she may like to try a Pardini, but she wont budge.
