WTB 45 with Iron Sights

I'm searching for a good competitive 45 with iron sights. Not interested in a dot rig. My budget is $800

Springfield Range Officer. great gun for the Price.

RO is good pistol for the money. Just finished complete BE build of another one and very pleased. Shoot good enough for a novice stock with a trigger job.

If the shooter does what they are supposed to, the stock RO should be able to shoot master scores.  You are going to need to test and find a load it likes, but you should be able to get the stock RO to shoot sub 3" groups at 50 yards.  I shoot low-mid expert with my stock Springfield using Iron Sights, CMP legal ammo, and the 4lb trigger.  I expect to make master with mine.

In the price range that you are looking for, there is nothing else that even comes close to that level of performance.

After you get it, let us know.  There are some DIY trigger improvements that involve changing some springs that you might be interested in.  They are in some older threads on this forum.
