WTB Looking for a good Hardball/Club match gun & 22 Pistol
I recently started shooting bullseye and have the need for another pistol. I am leaning toward a hardball gun so I may use it in other matches as well. I am not a professional but just a weekend club shooter. I currently have a built wad gun but would like to change things up and try something new. I also would like to add another 22 to the collection for my son. Looking for a ruger or browning, 22 heavy barrel and railed sight would be nice as well.
I use this site much for the conversation and have read just about every post. I very much enjoy bullseye as a personal hobby and am glad to have a resource such as this site. Thanks guy and keep up the good work.

As you probably have read. The springfield range officer is a fine starter into our shooting sport. The addition of a 22lr conversion by several brands is nice as well.
Just saw a marvel conversion up on commerical row.
Or If you got bit by the bug, buy once cry once from some of these great gunsmith on this form.

I have noticed that a lot of folks prefer the Range Officer. I have considered that option but with a rib site added and a possible barrel change I could possibly purchase an old timers gun that is ready to shoot and tailored more to what I am looking for but that option is still on the table. Thanks and keep 'em coming.

Doc-K, plenty of wad guns and hardball guns for sale on this forum. Also, search gunbroker.com with 1911 match.
As a .22 I suggest a nice used Pardini, there are several for sale right now.
Do I see that right, that you are in Austin? TX State match is in Austin this year.

I live in Belton. My name is Austin. I am really just looking at going for a ruger with an ultra dot and I have a couple wad guns to use. I also am really searching for a nice hardball gun but may just try to get my hands in a les bauer. Thanks for all the info.

Oh, I see.
I sold my Gold Cup, and a Range Officer, and saved up some money and bought a brand new Les Baer Premier II.
It's great, you won't be disappointed.

There is still something to be said about the old school wad guns. I have an old shocky colt that had been a real performer so far but it's coming into a maintenence period and I thought of just starting fresh. I also really like that 38 colt for sale as well here on the board. Decisions, decisions......

Just my personal opinion but I would save up your money and wait for a used gun or go for a new build by a bullseye smith over a Bauer.

SPF!
We have three hardball guns and could easily part with one. It is a Springfield Armory Custom Shop Hardball pistol that we have only fired to check sighting. SPF!
Cheers!

Gentlemen, I appreciate all the replies and have been offered some really great guns. Too bad the warden limits the gun funds nowadays or I would by them all. I have a few deals in the works but will notify here if something changes. Thanks again and hopefully i will be picking your brains to learn more about the sport. - Austin
