Factory loaded SWC Empty Factory loaded SWC

Post by JWelch Mon Aug 29, 2016 7:57 pm

I put a wad gun on order at Camp Perry. While I wait for the build to finish, I want to start identifying a procurement source for ammo.  I am an avid reloader, but as a new dad with two boys under the age of two, I am willing to pay for the time that would be otherwise spent behind the press.

Does anybody have a reliable and consistent source for factory loaded 45 ACP Lead SWC ammo? Thank you in advance.

Not sure what kind of reloader you have JWelch but I can load a box of 50 .45acp in 10 minutes on a Dillon 650 with case feeder. However I don't think it took much longer to do 50 on my 550. (my son has it now) That is of course without filling the primer tubes and adding cases to the feeder. So 10 minutes can be spent getting the press ready assuming it has been set up for the ammo reloaded. Then 10 minutes for each box when ever you have a spare 10 minutes.

Wilson Combat also loads great target rounds. They have sales every now and then, about 23 cents/ round. I use Roze for loaded .38 spl.
