Alibis in leg matches
I'm confused. The CMP rule book refers to the NRA Pistol Rules for refires. I checked the NRA rules and rule 10.10 allows alibis in Regional and National matches. Other matches may not allow alibis if noted in the program. So... does the CMP allow alibis in pistol or not?

Yes. They are allowed. Or should I say it is allowed. You only get one.

An NMC is a multistage match:
"19.14-(c) In multiple stage matches one refire will be allowed in
the slow fire stage and one refire will be allowed in the
combined timed and rapid fire stages."

Slow fire stage
NMC
Timed fire stage
Rapid fire stage
one alibi per stage, but if you need all four you need to re-evaluate your state of readiness.

Re: Alibis in leg matches
If you look in the CMP Rule Book on page 44 rule 7.3.1, you can see a table titled, "Pistol National Match Course."
On the left of the table, in the first column, is the official term "Stage."
Under that heading, are three entries, First, Second, Third, corresponding to Slow, Timed and Rapid in the third column, labeled, "Type of Fire."
As a matter of practice, no one ever calls a personal alibi for Slow Fire, only Interruptions or refires for range alibis or excessive hits.

Re: Alibis in leg matches
Thanks all for the answers. I think I have everything for my leg match debut except skill! Oh well, I'm sure leg meat will be appreciated.

Re: Alibis in leg matches
The answer if I understand it correctly is 2 alibis for a NMC.
But slow fire alibi is very rare.
