Cast bullets for softball 9mm

I'm thinking of jumping into the 9mm/38 super light loads game. Does anyone have any success casting thier own bullets for such an endeavor? If there is a good bullet design to be had, I'll build a gun chambered for 9mm and try it. If it doesn't work, I'll recut chamber for 38 super comp. Looking to keep velocity under 800 fps.
