Sam's club 20" hardshell case.
I recently decided to ditch the pistol clamps in my strong case and more securely transport my pistols. I got a great deal on EBay for a Pelican 1610 to carry 4+ pistols and accessories to matches. I wanted a smaller 2 pistol case for practice sessions. I had read about the Sam's 20" hard case but due to their site it didn't look like my local store had them. I was there today and stumbled onto them
They're $35 and perfect for 2 pistols, for the price they seem really nice quality. Don't get me wrong, the plastic, foam, latches and handle are all superior on the Pelican but pricewise they're in different classes.
So if anyone is looking for something like this I would pick one up while Sam's still has them.

Thank you Zane! They had these a couple of years ago for $20.00. Still a killer deal.

Just picked one up yesterday. Looks pretty well made and a bargain at $35. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Sam's club 20" hardshell case.
Just bought a second one, now I have one for my main match pistols and one for backup pistols that I'll leave in the car. I originally bought a Pelican 1610 to house everything but I decided to do a couple small cases over one large one. I'm not sure I would fly with the Sam's cases but for what they are they're great. I got a "where'd you get that case inquiry on one of the first matches I took it to" so the size appears popular.
I did notice one thing, the latch tension varies a decent bit from case to case. The first one I got could stand to be a bit tighter and I passed one up today with really tight latches. I also picked up some cheap mini caribeaners to use in the lock holes as extra security.

Thanks for posting this.
I bought two, and my son in law got two for camera equipment
I did go through the stack to get the best feeling latches.
Again, thanks

They work well for match air pistols. I will be getting one of those.
