Looking for load recipes 30b33810At a recent gun show I picked up a bunch of these.  Enough to mess with.  The factory load was 775 fps.  I know there are many 185 JHP bullets and load combos, but does anybody have any favorite recipes for this bullet?  I have fresh new Winchester brass to load them in!  I have Bullseye, WST, Titegroup and VV310.

Ive been playing around with some 185gr JSWC recently and I found in my stock Range Officer 4.0gr of Bullseye shot decent at 50 yards. This weekend I’m gonna try some 3.5gr of BE for the short line load. For jacketed bullets it might be light loads but I’m just trying them out. Out of my wadgun 3.5gr of BE and a 185gr LSWC shot really good at 50 yards so maybe jacketed isn’t far off from the same charge. Experiment. Have fun!

I pretty much run the same loads as I run with the Zero/Magnus 185 JHP.

4.1 - 4.5 VV310
