WTB 1911 grip safety/beavertail shims
WTB 1911 grip safety/beavertail shims
Gentlemen,
I have several 1911's with GI grip safeties that are quite loose. I have purchased some of the 'grip safety shims' in the past, but they were far too thin, 0.001" and would require me to stack like 20 of them and that is just a huge pain every time I assemble/ disassemble.
I would like to purchase, if you have some or could point me in the right direction, some thicker shims. 0.010" or even 0.015" would be ideal. Outside diameter 0.250", inside diameter 0.160".
Thanks for looking.

Either have small Tig weld bead added to each side of grip safety then file to fit or you can drill and tap #4 set screw and loctite and file down to fit. Shims suck ;l)
