Clark Custom revolver ?
Does anyone know if anyone used this gun for distinguished revolver shooting ? I see quite a lot about Clark Custom 1911's but not so much for their revolvers. I believe they sell for around $1300.00 for a new one. Does anyone have any knowledge about them ?

IIRC, Clark did dabble in revolvers for PPC sometime ago. They never were as popular as a Ron Power custom, but they did shoot. I’m not sure they'd fit the rules for DR.

I've shot one at our range, beautiful gun (the owner sent in his 586 for the full rework) but it didn't shoot a better group than my S&W 14-4 with a competition trigger and hammer that I got for less than $700.

The DR rules allow almost no modifications to a revolver. The Clark revolver you are asking about is a complete custom, new slab barrel, rib, double action only. About as far from DR legal as one could get. They are built for PPC open class.

Clark barrels we're accurate. Probably under 2" at 50 yds. Probably used the 14 twist Douglas blanks. I'm not sure if they ever used the 12 twist.

They are made for Police Pistol Combat (PPC) matches, unless the NRA has changed the name of the game. They may be allowed by the Harry Reeves rules, but I'm pretty sure that they aren't allowed in Distinguished Revolver matches. They would be pretty awkward to shoot one handed IMHO. Since they have limited uses, they can be found for pretty reasonable prices, used. After looking at their website, I see that they make a few more custom revolvers for activities, other than PPC. I see only one suitable for NRA Precision Pistol. It is advertised for the Harry Reeves Match. A lot of money to win a t-shirt!
