Handgun vise

Is there a particular vise that people prefer when working with handguns (pistol and revolver)?  I do not own a rifle or shotgun and neither is in my foreseeable future, so my primary interest is handgun.  Thanks in advance.

I use an old PanaVise.

The parrot vise is great if you have a sturdy bench. Make some leather vise pads and go to town.

I use a GRS engraving ball at my bench for tons of stuff.  There are cheaper knockoffs available at other places, but here is a link to one like mine.  Prepare for sticker shock.   I got mine when they were much cheaper.

If you like the parrot vice I'd highly suggest you look at the Brownells version. Higher quality and they always accept returns

Thanks for the suggestions.  It allowed me to come up with my criteria in a vise.

For lots of projects I use a bar clamp cut short,12l or so.  They come with rubber backed clamps. Holds the gun upright on the bench.
