Which way to drift out iron sights? Empty Which way to drift out iron sights?

I've got an STI 1911 with iron sights I'd like to remove. This might be a dumb question, but does it matter whether I drift them out from right to left or from left to right?

It usually doesn't matter, but if by drifting out you mean to use a punch or something like that, I would recommend a press. Hopefully, one of the gunsmiths or more experienced owners can chime in here.
