UNIQUE DES 69 magazine

I have this French made UNIQUE DES 69 for a while and I enjoy shooting it.  Unfortunately I don't shoot this pistol for the bullseye match because I don't have extra magazines.  Last time I found the factory original was a few months ago on eBay but I had missed that auction.  

So far no luck finding the original anywhere, so I start thinking Triple K's replica magazine.  Does anyone know if Triple K's works as good as the factory original?  I hesitated to buy them as I did not see good reviews on their magazines in general.

Thank you Aprillian.  I sent an email to Simpson.  I noticed that they have had a few DES 69 for sale but I did not bother to ask them for the magazine.

I still want to know if Triple K works.

I got a quick reply from Simpson.  No inventory.

Sorry that didn't pan out. Just for fun I did more web searching.  These people don't list that particular magazine, but have a crap load of DES parts on hand.  Perhaps if you call, they could point you in the right direction?  They certainly look like they would know about the triple k.  https://gun-parts.com/unique/

I tried this vendor before but no find.  Will shoot another call or email and see what he has to say.  I am wondering how other DES 69 shooters manage to secure magazines for their sports.  Maybe Triple K is the only solution...I hope not.  Having heard some issues with Triple K among the HS and Ruger shooters, I don't feel like spending 80 bucks/mag for a mistake that I can anticipate

I know what you mean about triple K - they don't fit very well for the Browning Medalist/Challenger/Nomad series.

I will say, I bought a couple Triple K mags for a 38 special 1911. They did require a little tuning, but they do work.

I have adapted a couple of m41 magazines to work in DES69. Change the location of the mag catch and slightly narrow up the width. This will not work with DES69U, however

Hi tierney, can you show us how you modified S&W M41 mags to work in DES69?  Could you also upload some pictures of the modified magazines?
I heard that the M41 mag also works in Hammerli 208/215 but don't know how to make it.

Sorry, I do not have the weapon any longer.  It is possible I got the idea from Ed Hall.
