Looking for answer to the beginning serial number or serial number range when Hammerli produced 208s Internationals with the 2-stage trigger?

Hmmm, your reply prompted me to go to the gun safe and check my 208s. I stand corrected, I confused my 208s with my Hammerli 215 International.
Thanks!
By the way, what serial numbers denote a Hammerli 215 International with a 2-stage trigger?

My 208 with two stage trigger does not say International. The slide is identical to the 208s I used to own. long extractor and no writing at all, not polished bluing.

First, thanks for your post. Secondly, I'm a Hammerli 208 & 215 neophyte. Third, if a 215 (no-s) has a wide trigger/target trigger, does that signify a 2-stage trigger or does it just signify a target trigger?
Thanks.

Hammerli 208s International Question Empty Re: Hammerli 208s International Question

You give me too much credit... Smile

My understanding is the "target trigger" is actually just a short trigger originally intended for young shooters. You can identify one of the Non-S two stage triggers by looking for a diagonal "plunger" behind the trigger. You can clearly see it here:

Hammerli 208s International Question Z4712610

I believe the "S" models had a different style of two stage trigger. Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Eureka Dave! My "Non-S" 215 has a trigger with a diagonal plunger exactly like your photograph illustrates. Is the photograph you posted of your personal 215 that has a 2-stage trigger?
Thanks, -Jim

Nope! It's actually a Hammerli currently for sale at Simpson's. At some point I'll probably buy one. Just not sure when Smile
