New CMP card ..Confused

Just received a new CMP card. It has 2 classifications, both Marksman. One is for Rimfire Pistol and the other is Match Pistol. How did I get the dual listing? I do not recall indicating either on any paperwork at shoots. 

I HAVE shot in 2 EIC shoots and several CMP events too. Along with a lot of NRA comps not figured in CMP classification of course.

Enlighten me someone.

EIC is rimfire pistol
Regular matches is MATCH PISTOL as I vaguely remember

Service pistol also has its own classification, so expect yet another if you start chasing those points as well.

service pistol is the “pistol” classification.

I think (read my personal interpretation) that the classification for rimfire and pistol is more so for squadding purposes at large matches (eg Perry, large regionals, ect.) as it potentially minimize crossfire issues. The scale used for rimfire and pistol is different than match pistol.

Yeah I just got mine and I had a good match at the Dixie and it says High Master!

Looks like we need to add CMP classification to our profiles menu!
