Hammerli 215 scope options?

Looking at a good friends 215 but was surprised that my 208 Knapp mount will not fit.

The dovetail is fine but the block in the mount is about 1/4" too high.

Short of drilling and tapping for a Weaver base, what are my options? I suppose I could move the block down but that could throw off the alignment and eliminate scope interchangeability. Is there a mount specifically for 215s?

Is it that the fixed front sight interferes with the mount?  Mine is a knapp mount and it has a slot in it to accommodate the front sight being in the way when sliding it into the dove tail.  Does your mount not have the slot, or is this a different interference?

I bought a hammerli 215s and my friends Knapp mount fit on it so I found a used one only to find it didn't work. I think there must of been two models. I just got a larry's mount and never looked back.  They also have wider slots for the aimpoint or kodiak mounts. I think red feather has them in stock.

Yes, I found them and they are different; the 215 mount is higher and will also work on a 208, but not vice versa.

The 208 top rib is a constant height full length whereas the 215 has a build up at the front
