Rechambering a 1911 9mm barrel to 38 special?

I have a nice old Clark 6" 1911 longslide that was originally built for 38 special. It's since been restored in 9mm.
I was wondering if I could take a new 9mm barrel and have it rechambered for 38 special?

I've reamed my own barrels but never recut one in a new caliber. Anyone have experience with this? Or can recommend someone for the job?

38 special bullet is .357
9mm is .355

If you use the right bullets for barrel diameter, and the slide face supports the different case, you should be OK.

Hmm, I load .356 147gn projectiles now.
So the 9mm chamber can be cut to 38spc?

I would say no. The 9mm is .391" diameter at .02" from breechface where the 38spl is .379" at that point, thus .012" smaller. Your 38spl cases would have bulges next to the rim, possibly blow out

NukeMMC is correct. 9mm and 38 Super chambers are too fat to convert. I order my barrels with no chamber so I can ream them myself.
