What is the value of a Model 41  ( heavy barrel ) . This pistol  ( about 95% )  was likely  owned by Jack Weller , All American football player at Princeton  in 1935 . He was inducted into the College Football  Hall of Fame in the late 1950's . I say this pistol was his because  his name and Princeton,  N. J. are inscribed on the right side of the barrel .

Model 41 on 1911 addicts forum toke about a month to sell and I think he had dropped the price to $850, you would have to find an avid college football fan to realize anything from that gentleman’s name, maybe the college he went to might have some interest or advertise it in the college town newspaper, you might get a bite?

You might contact the West Point Museum to see if they have any interest.

"Weller maintained a lifelong interest in firearms and was an honorary curator of the West Point Museum in the 1960s."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jac_Weller

I see from this entry that Brown University appears to have most of his memorabilia.
