Attention IZH-35M Owners

Need some help reverse engineering a recoil spring for the IZH-35M (IVAN)

I am not sure if one spare I have is new or previously used.  It came from abroad along with some other parts for IZH-35M.

Free Length = 140mm

Number of coils = 74 with two on each side compressed.  Will email pictures.

Outside Diameter = 4.6mm

Wire Diameter = 0.60mm

I checked an extra spring for my IZH. It looks like it might be slightly used, but dimensions are about the same.

Free length: 5.620" 140mm
74 coils
Outside dia. .185" 4.7mm
Wire dia. .024" .6mm

Hope this helps as it would be nice to have sources of spare parts for these.

That spring is very close.

The overall length of 106.7mm is short of the 140mm quoted above.

I wonder if stretching it to slightly over 140mm (145mm-150mm), tempering it, then cold setting it would bring it to 140mm?

I have enough data to fire up the Compression Spring calculator to play "What if".
