S&W 41 Clark barrel-- use weight or not?

Shooting a S&W 41, the Clark 5.5" bbl comes w a barrel weight. Do you use your Clark barrel w the weight or not and why?

Is it really a benefit w .22 LR?

Mine has an Ultradot mounted. Here is a picture of my barrel with its weight.

Can you guys tell a difference ti justify the weight, or not?
My gunsmith blue loctited the weight screws and I can remove it but wanted to ask before considering it. The pistol is heavy and lots of shooting is tiring but practice may build strength and be worth it to keep it on if it makes a difference.

Shooting CCI Green Label and CCI Standard Velocity at 25 yards and under to improve skills at this time.

My elbow would be junk with that much weight out over the muzzle.  I would go without it.

There is no right or wrong answer here.  Like the boxers or briefs question.  Personally I have always preferred a heavy gun but generally just go heavy barrel without hanging weight under the barrel.  That specific weight looks like it would make the gun very muzzle heavy.

Depends on the shooter.

Back when I was young and studly, I hung a 6oz weight on the front of my High Standard bull barrel.  Can't do that today
