aimpoint H1 or H2???

hi,i like ultradots,but the aimpoint with totts tubes looks very sexy. i want to know what is the difference between aimpoint h1 and h2,the 2 and 4 moa differences and is necessary install a kodiak machine base in a aimpoint red dot??/ thanks!

Major differences between h1 and h2 are
H1 comes with a rubber bikini to covers lenses h2 flip up lens covers
H1 no helicoil in mounting screws H2 helicoils
Aimpoint claims they added more internal regitity to the H2 vs the H1
Aimpoint claims the H2 is clearer than the H1 (really noticeable under magnification)
H2 has raised body around the adjustment turrets H1 nothing
Where you press on Totts shades for the H1 is the same diameter both ends, but different lengths
H2 different diameters front and rear. Length for press on different again.


Totts (Kodiak) base... sold by KC is a much more rigid mount than the factory one...someone smarter than me can tell you why.
Factory base would be fine on a frame mount or a 22. Go with the Kodiak for a slide mount. Savings from order with out a factory mount will offset Kodiak cost.

 i verify the kc site and see two types of base: kodiak base and shade,what is the difference between both?

He has the H1 with sun shades on a Kodiak mount and the H2 with shades on a factory aimpoint mount. He shows you the press on shades. Then he has the base standalone

the shades are the tubes???
