New Les Baer Wadcutter

Picked up my new pistol at the range today and fired the first 60 rounds 60 rounds through her.  I was impressed.  I fired 10 rounds of Remington HTP 230gr HP first and the gun cycled fine.  Decided that I didn't need to punish the gun or my old wrist anymore and switched to Federal Premium 185 SWC rounds.  I was shooting off my bench rest at 20yds as that is the max range at the indoor range.  I fired a group that was 3/4 inch.  I then shot one handed at a 25yd repair center.  I should have packed up the pistol and went home after the first 5 shots.  5 10s with 4Xs.  Can't wait to see what she will do on the long Line.  Had one fail to feed on about the 50th round.  I am now ready to shoot my 200gr SWS 4.6 BE for the next 100 loads then try the 3.6 BE loads.  Don

Congratulations on your LB wad gun.

My LB wadcutter was delivered mid September of this year. I broke mine in with 500 rounds of 185gr JHP over 4.6gr Bullseye, I was told this is a close copy of Federal Match. After the break in period I changed the recoil spring to an ISMI 11#. 

It now feeds 185gr LSWC over 4.1gr of Bullseye very reliably. My gun has a slide mount, and I have an UltraDot mounted on it. I am shooting 50' indoor gallery matches with it.

When summer comes to MI, I will use it for standard Precision Pistol matches.

300 rounds through her now and the last 50 where 200gr plated SWCs over 3.6gr of BE.  These fed and ejected fine and were a pleasure to shoot.  Headed to the outdoor range in the morning to see what the gun will do on the long line.  i have to sight in my Victory also as i am shooting my first club match Sunday.  it is a rimfire match shot at the 25 and 15 yard line. I have only been shooting 20yds indoors so looking forward to 25yds.
