Currently there are 21 brand new 5.5" Model 41 barrels for sale on Gunbroker. There must have been a mass run. All for above or just below 300.00. There is even a used Field barrel for 300.00 (tempting). If you have been looking they are back. Lots of different sellers.

New 41 barrels rifling are chemically etched last I heard.

Your probably thinking of Electric Discharge Machining.  Different process to chemical milling.

It’s not buttoned,cut rifling or hammerforged all I know
