I'm not putting bubble gum on my slide..... Try Slip 2000 EWL.

Too temperature sensitive even if the gun did cycle.

I used it on a frame mount optic and it worked okay, but not that great on my current slide mount. I just use Wilsons synthetic oil now, but might try something else when that runs out. Probably if we were using heavier loads and recoil springs it'd neccessary.

I used it on a Sig X5 with a stainless frame and slide.  It worked OK.  There are different weights of it.

If so inclined to use a "heavier" oil. Try good old STP. It works great on guns like Glocks, MPs, Berettas and loose 1911's. If gun is tight, then it may not work, unless you put it on work the slide and or barrel through busing a few times, then wipe it off. Even when you wipe it off, a film is still there unless you use a solvent.

I've used regular Slide Glide for my USPSA guns and for my shotgun chokes.  Good stuff.  Haven't used it for my slide mount wadgun (I just use BreakFree CLP), but if I did, I'd go for the Slide Glide Lite version.

Thanks for the replies. Surprised to hear that some don't function after using. I normally use grease, like lithium, for sliding parts and CLP of some sort for rolling parts.

Cheers,

Joel

I use Mobile 1 5w30. A quart will last forever. On the Barrel/bushing, link, lower lugs and slide stop pin I use Mobile 1 synthetic grease. Again, 1 tube lasts a lifetime.

+1 on red Mobile 1 synthetic grease mostly for everything. I use BreakFree CLP, Balistol, Lucas for cleaning prior to applying grease.

The only grease I use is TW25-B and that is on the hammer hooks only.  Gunfighter oil for everything else on the gun.  Fully synthetic, doesn't gum up and slicker than snail snot.

Where do you get your GF oil?  Brownell's says discontinued.

GF is no longer on Amazon either, back to Mobil 1 & TW25B when I run out of GF.

I mix synthetic 5-20 motor oil with STP about 50 50. It hangs on pretty good when its hot out. Its hot here more than cold so its about all I use. If I go out when its cold I just use the motor oil alone. I've tried fancy gun specific stuff that were give aways at matches but I don't think any of it worked better than the automotive products. Some were worse. I mixed STP and red wheel bearing grease for use on the bolts of my match rifles, a little goes a long way.
