Anyone use this Bullet?

Has anyone used the Hornady 38 caliber 158 grain LRN Bullets for Distinguished Revolver? If so what kind of reports might you have on them?

It seems like some Model 14s like LRN, and some like SWC. I think there was a difference in how they were cut, but I really don't remember the specifics, serial range, etc.

I have used them with the old load of 3.2 BE for long line, 3.0 for short. They are a great swaged bullet!

BASICALLY THE PENCIL BARREL MDL 14's PREFER THE 158 ROUND NOSE. THE FULL LUG MDL 14's PREFER THE 158GR SWC BULLET.  THE DIFFERENCE IS HOW THE FORCING CONE IS CUT. OF COURSE THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS. JP

And I just bought s bunch of rn for my full lug 14. I’ll have to try those swc

I have a full lug model 14 and have tried a bunch of different 158 SWC's with dismal results. I even bought 500 rounds of Zero loaded ammo. I thought there was something wrong with my pistol. Len posted a while back of the availability of Magtech LRN 158's. I bought two thousand and have had excellent results.

Federal American Eagle did real well this weekend in mine.  Not loading for it yet.  158gr lrn
