WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT GILES HIGH STANDARD SUPERMATIC TROPHY? I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL GILES HIGH STANDARD SUPERMATIC TROPHY AND I WANNA SHOOT BULLSEYE NEXT YEAR BUT I DONT HAVE THE EYES FOR OPEN SIGHTS. SHOULD I PUT ANOTHER BARREL AND RED DOT ON IT? OR SELL IT AND BUILD SOMETHING ELSE? THANKS SNAPDRAW GILES HIGH STANDARD 20201110

Is the rib screwed to the barrel? If so it can be replaced with a Picatinny /Weaver rail and red dot. See how the Nelson's have interchangeable ribs for this purpose! 
 
Otherwise a "competent" gunsmith can make a rib for a red dot.

Personally I wouldn’t touch the rib...there are plenty of other barrels with either weaver, or Picatinny rails for not a lot of money. I have one that I use , an LSP with a red dot. Shoots great, and the integrity of the Giles work is maintained.

I agree! I'm going to order a lsp and a red dot from brownells. This pistol is too beautiful to start messing with. Thanks for talking some sense into me. SNAPDRAW
